The Trade Allies and Contractors sector of energy efficiency is made up of individuals who play a key role for their customers. They act as a resource in educating customers on energy solutions and provide them with information on energy conservation incentive programs from utilities and public agencies alike.
Some of the solutions and proposals they provide include costs and payback options that will ultimately reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
It is often said of the Trade Ally group that they include anyone involved in residential energy efficiency, and that they can make or break a demand-side management program.
The Canadian Institute for Energy Training has developed and designed specific programs for Trade Allies & Contractors to enable participants from this segment of the EE industry to enhance their skills in a way that will help them grown their business, expand their career options, and ultimately benefit their end-use customers. COVID-19 Information for CIET Fall 2020 Training Calendar – CIET Goes Virtual!

With more than 60 virtual real-time courses offered since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis under our belt, and based on feedback received from more than 600 participants, CIET is happy to inform that all public training sessions offered in the fall of 2020 will be delivered through virtual real-time classrooms.
This will allow everyone to continue accessing CIET training in a safe manner, which protects both our participants and our trainers, regardless of what happens in the fall. You can register for these virtual courses in confidence, knowing that they will provide the same quality of training that you expect from CIET. These real-time training sessions will be available to all participants across Canada, and abroad.
