To take an exam for AEE certifications offered by CIET, the related courses are mandatory. However, if you’ve already taken the related course in the last three years and have not attempted the exam or have yet to obtain a passing grade on the exam, you do not need to retake the course.
On the other hand, when it comes to NRCan’s Foundation and Energy Advisor Exam, our courses are not mandatory. NRCan doesn’t require aspiring energy advisors to go through training before challenging the exam. That being said, make no mistake about the relevance of taking our prep courses. Our courses were born out of a demand for energy advisor (EAs) exam preparations. The amount of material covered by both exams is not to be underestimated, and aspiring EAs who challenge the NRCan exams without benefitting from our services often struggle to obtain a passing grade.
