To ensure a high-quality and engaging learning experience, all participants must meet the following technical and environmental requirements before joining a CIET virtual live training session.
Technical Setup
Participants must have a stable internet connection. A wired connection is ideal for reliability, but a strong Wi-Fi connection is also acceptable.
Environment
Choose a quiet and comfortable environment where you can remain focused for the full duration of the training. Minimize distractions and ensure you are in a space conducive to learning. This is also to ensure that no background noise disrupts the group and that all participants can fully engage in the session.
Audio and Video
Use a headset or earphones with a built-in microphone to ensure clear audio and reduce background noise, and make sure to mute your microphone when not speaking to reduce background noise.
A functional webcam is required. You may choose your background, but it should be appropriate for a professional setting. Your video should remain turned on for most of the session and only be turned off when necessary.
Software and Access
Ensure the required platform (Microsoft Teams or other if specified in the registration confirmation email) is installed and updated before the session. Log in early to test your access and resolve any technical issues before the training begins.
Some additional Recommendations
➤ Review any pre-training materials or instructions sent by CIET ahead of time.
Important Notice
CIET reserves the right to deny access to the virtual training if any of the required technical or behavioral standards are not met. This policy ensures a respectful and effective learning environment for all participants.
If you experience technical issues before or during the session, contact CIET technical support at support@cietcanada.com and include screen captures and as many details as possible.
