Please note starting May 1st, 2023 all AEE Certification Renewals will be done directly with AEE. CIET will no longer be part of this process.
Each certified professional is required to obtain Continuing Education Units (CEU) or Professional Development Hours (PDH) during each renewal period. A total of 10 renewal credits are required.
The AEE does not maintain a record of your continuing education in the interim. You must maintain a record of your continuing education and complete a recertification form at the time of your renewal.
Professional credits for recertification should be accumulated during the three-year renewal period for each renewal cycle. The seminar taken to acquire your certification does not apply toward your renewal credits. All certification renewals are subject to 60-day renewal processing.
Please visit our AEE certification renewal process page to learn more about renewal credits.
Important: The AEE International Department has created an 11 minute Renewal Video Walkthrough that will show you the entire renewal process. We hope that this will ensure a smoother renewal process for all our certification holders.

A lapsed certified professional has two options to reinstate:
1. Acquire make-up points at a cumulative total equal to 3.5 per year for every year since previous date of expiration (Does not apply to ENAC recognized lapsed certifications) or,
2. Resubmit to the certification process and successfully meet the criteria for certification by personal data information and passing the examination.
Reinstatement credits are determined by the year that your certification expired. Please contact your Certification Director to find out your exact renewal credit requirements. For all programs, if your certification has lapsed more than 3 renewal cycles (9 years) you will be required to take and pass the exam for reinstatement.

This is to inform you that the course date is too close to be able to ship hard copies of the material to you on time. If you are willing to use the material in secured PDF, receive the material later (likely after the course) and pay upon registration, please click OK to continue the registration process. Please note that the shipping process will start only when the course fees are paid in full and delays are to be expected. Many thanks!
