Homeowners' participation in Climate Change mitigation has become a point of emphasis for both regional and federal governments, as they look to provide more ways for individual citizens to engage with GHG reduction activities. Although most programs are aimed at the commercial, transportation, and industrial sectors, individuals can be active participants by cutting the amount of emissions produced in their homes. As homeowners have direct control over their energy consumption, engaging them can go a long way in helping governments meet reduction targets while better serving people’s desire to be more involved.
