We are happy to introduce the new and improved Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) training program. The primary mandate of this 3.5-day program remains to allow participants to demonstrate their understanding of energy auditing principles, practices and technologies within the context of buildings and facilities.
In addition to updates to course materials and concepts, the Association for Energy Engineers® (AEE) – the certification body for the program - has implemented an updated Body of Knowledge for the CEA certification that reflects the essential knowledge and competencies for energy auditors globally. The updates will come into effect this month (February 2021).
The updated CEA Body of Knowledge is organised into 12 knowledge areas, rather than the eight that used to be used internationally (outside of the United States). Each area will focus on the essential knowledge that is applied across practice settings. Learn more about the main knowledge areas here.
