Building operators and maintenance staff play a crucial role in the energy use of a building. They know their building better than anyone else. Whether managing a commercial building or industrial plant, they are positioned to understand how energy is being used in the facility and to discover energy saving opportunities.
The Energy Efficiency for Building Operators and Maintenance Staff course is designed to engage and empower building operators through a series of hands-on and interactive lessons presented to bring to life the energy savings opportunities that exist within:
One of the unique aspects of this course is the Energy Hunt, which takes course participants out of the classroom and into practical day-to-day operations of the building. Participants will learn how to conduct savings calculations for the energy found during the Energy Hunt.
The focus of this type of Energy Hunt is to identify immediate fixes that will result in a short-term payback.
Here is an overview of how a team can plan an Energy Hunt, conduct the Hunt, then use the findings to create a strategic plan.
