CIET Attends the Alberta Energy Efficiency Summit and Unveils the Public Course Calendar for Alberta

CIET attended the Alberta Energy Efficiency Summit in Calgary last week. The Summit provided an opportunity for both the Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance (AEEA) and the newly formed Energy Efficiency Alberta (EEA) to discuss recent trends and the introduction of new programming in energy efficiency in the province with stakeholders (pictured above: CIET with Monica Curtis, CEO of Energy Efficiency Alberta). There was a palpable feeling of enthusiasm at the conference, both for what has been accomplished in a short amount of time, but also for what is to come in the Energy Efficiency industry in Alberta.

Presentations by representatives from the Connecticut Green bank and energy retailers in New Zealand (which is comparable in size both demographically and economically to Alberta) presented participants with valuable examples of innovation, problem-solving and customer engagement strategies for the energy efficiency industry.

The Summit also served as an ideal event to launch CIET’s Alberta Energy and GHG Training Calendar for the fall 2018 and winter/spring 2019 semesters. The courses offered in the province are organized to be highly relevant and suitable to individuals working in the Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Oil & Gas, Governmental and Service Provision segments, and will apply to a number of roles and technical backgrounds.
