The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) has announced the winners of its prestigious 2024 International Awards. The AEE International Awards highlight individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions in the field of energy. Among those recognized for their work this year is CIET's Executive Director, Mathieu Côte, who has received the Energy Professional Development award. This award is presented to an individual for outstanding accomplishments in training and development of energy engineers and managers, and for superior service to the Association.
This recognition follows Mathieu's 2023 accolade as a regional award winner, underscoring his continuous dedication to advancing the energy sector.
Mathieu's journey with CIET began in 2012, and since then, he has been a driving force behind the organization’s success. Under his leadership, CIET has significantly impacted energy efficiency and decarbonization in Canada and abroad, setting new standards in professional development.
"This award goes to all CIET staff, past and present, in recognition of their dedication to supporting the energy transition through capacity building and making concrete contributions in the life of thousands of participants as well as helping hundreds of organizations achieve their decarbonization and energy efficiency goals."

The 2024 awards will be presented at the International Awards Banquet during the AEE World Energy Conference & Expo in September in Nashville, TN.
