Efficiency Canada recently unveiled the 3rd edition of the Provincial Energy Efficiency Scorecard for 2021. The Scorecard was created to annually track, benchmark and report the effects of provincial policies, incentives, performance, industrial and transportation makeup on energy efficiency. The hope is that the scorecard helps to inform and create awareness for energy efficiency policies across Canada.

While there is continuity at the top of the rankings with British Columbia, Quebec and Nova Scotia continuing to occupy the top three places, Efficiency Canada did produce a list of notable developments across four key areas of analysis (enabling policies, buildings, transportation & industry). As in the two previous reports, the 2021 scorecard also features a list of strengths and opportunities for each province:
