Mintou Ndiaye is a technical expert in energy efficiency at Econoler, where she contributes to the design, evaluation, and implementation of energy efficiency, decarbonization, and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction programs and projects. A trained engineer, she has strong expertise in building energy performance, measurement and verification, program evaluation, as well as in supporting the development of financing mechanisms and business models to accelerate the energy transition.
At Econoler, Mintou works on a wide range of mandates with public, institutional, and international organizations, particularly in the building, energy, and climate sectors. She has been involved in energy efficiency projects in Canada and Africa, including supporting energy service company (ESCO) projects, evaluating program portfolios, conducting market analyses, quantifying GHG emission reductions, and developing capacity-building tools. Her recent work notably includes assignments with the African Development Bank, GIZ, Natural Resources Canada, Efficiency Manitoba, EfficiencyOne, as well as several Canadian public institutions.
Her background combines rigorous technical expertise with a strong understanding of public policies related to sustainable energy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a master’s degree in public policy, with a specialization in sustainable energy and the environment, from Carleton University. She is also a certified RETScreen® expert and a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
