Program Overview

In collaboration with the Hydraulic Institute, CIET is proud to offer the Pump Sustems Fundamentals course. The Pump Systems Fundamentals course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of pump systems, their components, and their operation.

During this one-day course, participants will cover the most important aspects of pump systems: principles of pump systems, positive displacement, rotodynamics, relevant formulas and parameters, power and energy consumption, centrifugal curves and positive suction heads are all topics covered through this course.

In attending this training, participants will gain a deeper understanding of Pump Systems and develop skills to ensure the future optimization of those systems. 

This course is offered in collaboration with the Hydraulic Institute (HI).

In this course, you will learn to

  • Identify the fundamental principles of pumps and their drivers.
  • Categorize positive displacement pumps based on their fundamental principles and types.
  • Classify rotodynamic pumps based on their fundamental principles and types.
  • Calculate pump total head using relevant formulas and parameters.
  • Analyze pump and system curves to interpret their characteristics.
