Overview

To provide an introduction  on Energy Management Systems implementation, Ready Navigator Tool and 50001 Recognition Program, CIET will be presenting a webinar that will be available publicly.

The ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management Systems Standard promotes the integration of energy efficiency into management practices to increase awareness about energy use, reinforce good energy management behaviours, and make better use of existing energy consuming assets and processes.  To encourage leadership and improve energy performance in Canada, NRCan recently launched 50001 Ready Canada program and Ready Navigator Tool. The tool allows organisations to track the tasks at hand to self-attest working towards the implementation of ISO 50001:2018 standard.

This one-hour webinar covers the basics on how to establish a successful energy management system in an organization. Participants will be provided with an overview of the ISO 50001:2018 standard and the 50001 Ready recognition, which will enable them to contextualize their role and work to become an integral part of their organization’s success. By demonstrating the free online tool, this webinar shows the features of Ready Navigator while contextualizing the tasks needed to achieve the 50001 Ready Canada Recognition and ISO 50001:2018 standard.
