Overview

According to the International Energy Agency, achieving the ambitious international climate objectives requires worldwide net GHG emissions to be reduced below zero throughout the second half of this century. Therefore, many governments and private enterprises have communicated their ambitious GHG emission reduction targets in recent years, and some even aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. To achieve these targets in the medium and long term, carbon neutral strategies must be developed to identify those measures that could be implemented in building portfolios or manufacturing facilities.

This one-day training is intended for managers and professionals wishing to learn about the various strategies that serve to achieve carbon neutrality in their organisations.

Through concrete examples, participants learn the different terms and definitions associated with carbon neutrality, gain an understanding of the initiatives undertaken and commitments made by different governments and enterprises, and demystify the various approaches adopted to achieve carbon neutrality or, at least, significantly reduce their GHG emissions.

Key Learning Objectives

  • Understand government targets by 2050.
  • Understand the different terms associated with carbon neutrality.
  • Learn about the different decarbonization approaches (reduce, capture, offset).
