Energy Efficiency Alberta Training Incentives Available
Energy Efficiency Alberta incentives are available to residents of Alberta to learn new skills and develop their technical capacity across a variety of subjects in energy efficiency and renewable energy. Attendees of selected CIET courses will receive up to 30% off, with the incentive being applied directly at the time of course registration.
This 1-day Introduction Combined Heat and Power (CHP) course covers the fundamental technical, economic and regulatory knowledge related to cogeneration. These topics are presented in sufficient detail to allow participants to develop an understanding of the entire process, including load assessment, systems design principles and economic analysis.
This course aims at providing the engineering specialist with the knowledge required to investigate CHP technologies for a specific application. A comprehensive assessment of process or building loads (both electrical and heating and/or cooling) represents the starting point in the decision and selection process. Understanding the operation of various CHP system components (prime mover, heat recovery and thermally activated technologies) is also required. Finally, the optimum solution will be selected based on economic analysis.
