We are pleased to announce that the CIET has been granted the only commercial licence by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) to deliver CAN-QUEST software training in Canada. CAN-QUEST is a Canadian adaptation of eQUEST, the popular U.S. building energy simulation software. Developed on the basis of eQUEST 3.62x, CAN-QUEST provides complete Canadian weather data, supports both metric and imperial units, and includes interfaces in both English and French.
CAN-QUEST can be used to not only demonstrate performance compliance with the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings 2011 (NECB 2011), but also support the design of high-performance commercial and institutional buildings. CAN-QUEST is recognized as Canada’s leading building energy simulation tool for modelling whole-building energy performance and compliance with the NECB 2011.
The exclusive CAN-QUEST licence has further strengthened the CIET’s leading position as NRCan’s contractor of choice for training delivery, along with the licences granted by NRCan for delivering the Advanced Building Recommissioning program and the Dollars to $ense energy management workshops.
